Our well-trained staff work with people with Developmental Disabilities (DD) to ensure an enhanced quality of life in the community. Our goal is to allow these adults to achieve normal, healthy lives and become active citizens by assisting with self-help skills, getting them involved in community outings, developing social skills through peer interaction and developing job skills based on each individual’s ability. Community Assistants and Residential Assistants are hired to work one-on-one with consumers to help them achieve these goals.
At CCS, we have the Supported Living Program which creates the opportunity for developmentally disabled adults 18 years or older to lead independent lives.
Some of our services include:
- Stable, suitable housing
- Supervision as needed
- One-on-one life skills training
- Continuous support for participants and their families
- Social activities We also have In-Home Services available to adults who live at home – again, each program is unique, based on the individual’s need.
Other services include:
- Development of recreational and social skills
- Improved self-esteem and realization of potential
- Supported employment
- Life skills training
- Transportation training and assistance
- On-going support for participants and their families
