Creative Community Services works with a number of families who are working with residential service providers for the first time, even though their family members are adults. Prior to coming to CCS, some of our consumers lived at home. They come to CCS when they are ready for more independence, and CCS helps them find specialized living arrangements. Their parents and family members remain constant in their lives and spend time with them, as any family member would with their adult family members. Some of the consumers in our DD program are kids or are adults who live at home because that is what works best.

CCS Support Services to DD Parents may include:

  Regular telephone, email or mail communication from a Family Consultant or
     Supervisor

  Invitations to important meetings or appointments that affect our consumers

  Invitations to attend special events or activities

  In-home supports for consumers, including one-on-one skill training,
     companionship and transportation

  Respite care
