| From the Executive Director…
For the past 25 years, Creative Community Services (CCS) has been dedicated to providing therapeutic foster care for kids and home-based support services for children and adults with mental retardation or developmental disabilities. Our mission is to go beyond the basics – we provide comprehensive services to our clients in order to encourage them to lead independent lives. Our goal is to help every client become an active and engaged citizen capable of contributing to our overall society. This year CCS has revitalized our commitment to service by strengthening the inner workings of our own organization. With input from CCS staff, board, volunteers and clients, we have developed strategic and communication plans in an effort to improve our value to our clients. We also are increasing our focus on educating the public about the needs of foster care children as well as the needs of our children and adults with developmental disabilities. We hope to involve even more community members in the work and mission of CCS through education and volunteerism, and we thank you for all of your continued support. Sally Buchanan Letter from the Executive Board President... In the five plus years I've been involved with CCS, Inc. it has been a tremendous pleasure to be a part of an organization that has truly flourished, grown and helped so many children, adults and families. It has been an honor to work with such a committed and tireless Executive Director, Sally Buchanan and a genuinely committed staff that just won't quit until they deliver the best they possibly can to our consumers. In the past year the board of directors and staff have spent many hours and retreats in developing a sound strategic plan that will guide us towards our future. I invite you to read this document to learn more about where we currently stand as an organization and more importantly where we are headed. The landscape of social services in Georgia is looking brighter and the board of directors could not be more excited and proud to be guiding an organization that has been and will continue to be a catalyst for continuous quality improvement to the people we serve. Sincerely, Ryan Turner |
