Creative Community Services children have a variety of special needs. Some are dealing with childhood trauma related to abuse, violence, parental drug addiction and poverty. Others have developmental disabilities and have problems managing behaviors, struggle in school or need plenty of individual attention. We work with children of all races, ethnicities, religions and sexual orientations.
This is the Anderson family. When Derek and Lois Anderson first met 7-year-old Tyler, he had been in a home plagued by drug abuse and family violence. He couldn’t feed or dress himself or communicate with others.
After three years of patient persistence from his foster parents, Tyler is talking, laughing and enjoying his childhood.
